How crazy is spring break in Destin?  While Destin does get travelers coming for spring break, it’s known for being more of a family getaway and doesn’t have the reputation of being a party destination like nearby Panama City Beach.
 
However, Crab Island is a shallow underwater sandbar and becomes busy with visitors during spring break.
 
HarborWalk Village and Destin Commons also see an increase in traffic during this time.

Best Destin Beaches To Visit In March

Miramar Beach

Miramar Beach, located just east of Destin, is known for its sugar-white sands and emerald-green waters.

With pleasant temperatures in March, Miramar Beach provides an ideal setting for beach strolls and relaxation.

My favorite spot in Miramar Beach is the public beach next to Pompano Joe’s.

Henderson Beach State Park

March offers comfortable temperatures for exploring the park’s nature trails and enjoying the solitude of the beach.

The park’s unspoiled beauty and clear waters make it a perfect spot for nature lovers.  It’s also my favorite spot in Destin to see the sunset.

While just over a half-hour drive east of Destin, Grayton Beach State Park is worth the visit for its untouched landscapes.

After a day at the beach, walk on over to amazing restaurants such as The Red Bar and Chiringo. 

Norriego Point

It’s a great spot for those who want to combine beach time with a bit of local exploration.

Norriego Point Beach is situated across from Destin Harbor, offering a unique blend of Gulf and harbor views.

While this may be cooler than the peak summer months, I love jumping in the water in March!
