About Me

I’m always looking for the best Florida beach towns and places to travel to.

Hi! I'm Wayne

I was born and raised in Minnesota but I fell in love with the Sunshine State.  I started traveling to Florida often in 2016 and I’ve traveled there extensively ever since, taking several trips a year.

My love is the Florida Panhandle and Gulf Coast- cities such as Destin, Miramar Beach, Seaside, Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, and Naples.

I also enjoy Orlando with its activities and theme parks, and it’s also a nice central spot to get to both coasts!

So, how can I call myself a Florida travel expert if I don’t live in Florida?

Well, when it comes to Florida, like Johnny Cash said in that song, I’ve been everywhere, man!

I am obsessed with Florida travel, and travel there frequently, as I mentioned.  I also do a lot of research on Florida to make sure I am giving accurate information in my articles.

My son, Skyler, used to travel with me often, but he got tired of going to Florida all of the time!

So why did I decide to start a travel blog?

That’s a question I’m often asked, and the reason I started this website is that I love traveling to Florida, writing about all of the fun things to do in the state, and taking photos.

Since I’ve started traveling to Florida, I’ve often found myself daydreaming of beach towns to escape to.

When Covid hit in 2020, I was stuck at home a lot, my son moved away for college, and I was ending a relationship, so I decided to start this new venture into blogging in late 2020 to keep myself occupied, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since!

I took a lot of trips to Florida by myself when I was single, hence all the selfies.

I’ve turned this blog into a business and I offer an extensive blogging course (ebook) and Florida travel itineraries.

I love sharing my passion for traveling with others and inspiring others to do the same.  Now, with my experience flying often, I offer airline experience and share the pros and cons of several airlines.

I also cover Caribbean destinations as I’ve been on several cruises over the past 12 years and have traveled to the Dominican Republic and El Salvador, in Central America, as well.

What Can You Expect From This Blog?

My goal is to give you ideas for the best beach vacations and things to do in Florida, and I also cover a number of places in the Caribbean.

I’ll be highlighting the best attractions in these areas and also include tips regarding airlines to use and how to travel for cheap while on a budget.

I’ll be writing about the food, drinks, entertainment, family-friendly places to go, and of course, the beaches!

I really like recommending waterfront restaurants.  I’m not big into taking pictures of food; sometimes I do, but I like to focus more on the location and experience of the area!

Most of these recommendations are from my own travels and experiences, and I mostly use my own pictures, too!

At times, I will recommend an activity or an attraction that I haven’t been to,  if it’s near the city or location that I’m writing about, or well-known in the area.

Here are a few photos from this past year.  These photos are with my girlfriend, Kallie, and her two kids, Hudson (9) and Quinn (11).
