Are you heading to Central Florida and wondering if the suburbs are safe for you to visit this year?

In this post, we look at one popular Orlando suburb and try to answer that exact question- Is Clermont, Florida safe?

Being located just outside of Orlando makes Clermont a popular suburb for visitors looking to escape the busyness that comes with the big city.

Just 30 minutes west of Orlando, Clermont is an area I visit often since I have friends who live in Minneola (just north of Clermont).

It’s known for its beautiful lakes and rolling hills.  There are also fun breweries, wineries, and a fun downtown area near the lake.

But considering the safety of Clermont is important before planning your trip.

You’ll want to understand a few things like the crime rate and where crime takes place before visiting.

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at these things and I’ll help you decide if Clermont, Florida is somewhere that you should visit.

Whether you're traveling or planning to live in Clermont, Florida with your family, it's highly important to understand the safety of your children.
Clermont is a fairly large city in Central Florida and is just about 30 minutes outside of Orlando.

Is It Safe For Solo Travelers?

Solo travel has become a popular way to travel, but safety is one of the top concerns for people traveling alone.

Clermont has long provided a safe place to travel for solo travelers who want to stay close to the big city.

With a lower crime rate, plenty of safe places to stay, and a great presence of police officers.

A few of the best ways that those traveling alone can stay safe is by staying in a highly-rated hotel, avoiding going out alone at night, and by taking tours as a way of seeing the city.

What Part Of Clermont Is The Riskiest Or Most Dangerous?

As always, there are certain areas of cities where you’ll find more risks and dangers.

Luckily, because Clermont isn’t a huge city, there aren’t many dangerous neighborhoods that you’ll have to be aware of when asking the question is Clermont, Florida safe?

Some of the areas north of Lake Minneola are considered to be more dangerous because they typically see more crime than other neighborhoods.

But again, because it’s a smaller city, you don’t have to be as on the lookout for dangerous areas!
