New Smyrna Beach is another popular beach destination in July.

New Smyrna Beach – Surf town charm, less crowded than Daytona, and dog-friendly beaches.

It’s also one of Florida’s best spots to catch a beginner-friendly surf lesson or join a beach yoga class.

Bahia Honda State Park (Florida Keys) – Soft sand, snorkeling, and one of the clearest waters in the state.

Make sure to walk up the old bridge overlook for a panoramic view that’s hard to beat.

Crab Island is a very popular place to visit in Destin in the summer

Destin– July is definitely peak season for Destin since it’s in the northern area of Florida in the Panhandle.

I’ve stayed here during the 4th of July, and it’s busy but still very enjoyable. Dinner waits at restaurants can take a couple of hours, so be patient.

Crab Island is a must-visit in July, but it’s also very busy during this time so book early!

Hollywood Beach – Stroll the palm-lined Boardwalk, catch a live band, and rent a bike or rollerblades.

Don’t miss the beachside margaritas or fresh seafood at the casual oceanfront cafés.

ake a ferry or seaplane and explore historic Fort Jefferson, snorkel coral reefs, or just relax on crystal-clear beaches.

This is peak season for glowing waters in places like Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach.

Paddle under the stars and watch the water light up beneath you.

7. Go Tubing at Ichetucknee Springs State Park
North Florida’s hidden gem offers crystal-clear spring-fed rivers perfect for a lazy tubing float.

It’s a refreshing escape from the July heat, and the surrounding park is a peaceful slice of Old Florida.

8. Explore the St. Augustine Nightlife & Ghost Tours
Take a spooky walking tour through America’s oldest city.

After a day of sun, cool off with history, haunted tales, and late-night rooftop bars in the historic district.

Enjoying the views from the Okaloosa Island Pier in Fort Walton Beach.  Every Wednesday night during the summer, there are fireworks at 9 pm.
