1. Buzzard’s Roost- Key Largo
The first stop is Buzzard’s Roost as you make your way onto the Keys in Key Largo.
It was our first restaurant stop on our road trip from Miami to the Florida Keys.
The Buzzard’s Roost is a top pick for dining in Key Largo. The menu has seafood dishes, including several types of fish, shrimp, oysters, and lobster soup, but also sandwiches and burgers for those not looking for seafood.
Foods To Try
I had the Lobster Reuben, which was great, and my girlfriend had the chicken sandwich. The yellowtail snapper ceviche is also popular here.
Here, I’m trying the Lobster Rueben at Buzzard’s Roost

Eat Inside Or Outdoors On Their Beautiful Deck
The vibe at Buzzard’s Roost is pretty cool and perfect for any occasion. You can eat inside or outside, where you can see the sunset over the water.
It’s great for romantic dinners and family fun. There are lots of boats on the water to see and games for groups to play.

After lunch, we walked back to the dock and saw some pelicans and also a manatee. Can you spot it?

With the good food and getting to see wildlife right on the dock, this restaurant is a must-visit!

2. Florida Keys Brewing Company in Islamadora
Next up, as we make our way through the Keys is the best brewery in the area!
The Florida Keys Brewing Company is a top spot for craft beer fans and food lovers, offering plenty of beer options and even wines and spirits for those who don’t care for beer. There’s also root beer for the kids.
Local Craft Beer Selection
This restaurant has a large selection of craft beer. You can try different house-made ales and lagers.
Overview
The Florida Keys Brewing Company is perfect for an afternoon or night out. We brought the kids during the day and they were able to run around and play games.
There’s a nice outdoor area where you can enjoy the weather, play games such as cornhole and Jenga, and listen to live music.
The brewery has a food truck where you can enjoy some authentic Mexican food and tacos.
You can also check out the art and candles at the Islamorada Candle Co located in the back.

3. Robbie’s Marina – Islamorada
Robbie’s Marina is on the west end of Islamorada and is a fun dining experience with so much to do.
The atmosphere is fun, with open-air market shops selling shells, crafts, clothes, and more.
Robbie’s Marina has breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have lots of seafood, salads, soups, and food for the kids.
Robbie’s Marina also serves fish or if you go out on one of their fishing charters, you can also have them cook your catch here.
After dinner, you can head to the food truck and grab ice cream or shaved ice. Nearby, they also sell coconut water that you can drink from the coconut.

Activities After Dining
Robbie’s Marina is well-known for the activities here besides dining. Guests can feed tarpon, shop for local crafts, and take part in watersports such as fishing and jet-skiing.
We all had fun with our kids feeding the tarpon. Just watch out for the pelicans trying to steal the minnows!
Robbie’s is a family-friendly spot, and it’s perfect for a Florida Keys day trip.

The pelicans like to wait and steal the minnows before you can feed them to the tarpon!

4. SS Wreck & Galley Grill – Grassy Key
We stayed in Marathon during our recent stop to the Florida Keys, so SS Wreck & Galley Grill in Grassy Key seemed like a good choice for a quick stop along the way.
Must-Try Lunch & Dinner Items
The menu at SS Wreck & Galley Grill has many great options. The catch of the day sandwich is a popular pick, along with the Mahi BLT and Wreck’s Burger.
They also feature seafood platters and Cajun Smoked Salmon.
After you’re done dining here, you can check out the Dolphin Research Center, which is next door.

5. Island Fish Co.- Marathon
If you’re looking for the best seafood in the Keys, Island Fish Co in Marathon should be one of your top choices!
The place is colorful with decorated walls, and I love the tiki vibes here.
Try their fish platters or other seafood options, such as oysters and shrimp. They also have steaks, pastas, and lots of other foods to choose from.
Dine inside or outside if you’d like to see some sunset views. Either way, you’ll like the food here.

My brother in law got the Philly Cheese Steak and curly fries while I got the fish dinner.

My sister got the shrimp tacos and chips while my girlfriend had the pasta.

This place is perfect for a meal or drink while enjoying waterfront views. It’s especially nice around sunset.

6. Porky’s BBQ – Marathon
Speaking of beautiful sunsets, Porky’s BBQ in Marathon is a top pick among BBQ spots in the Florida Keys.
Porky’s is known for its smokehouse barbeque sandwiches, tacos, and platters with pulled pork, chicken, and brisket.
They also have lots of seafood platters and sandwiches to choose from.
This restaurant is located just 2 miles from the 7-mile bridge and offers an 18-hole mini golf course.

You have to try the Key Lime Pie when in the Florida Keys!

7. Boondocks Grille & Draft House – Ramrod Key
As you make your way towards Key West, you’ll hit Ramrod Key. Families looking for a great place to eat in the Florida Keys should check out Boondocks Grille in Ramrod Key.
It’s a fun spot with good food for all ages. It’s perfect for family dining in the Keys.
Mini Golf
Another thing that’s cool about Boondock’s is the fact that they have an 18-hole mini golf course to play.
Bring your family here for some friendly competition after your meal. They also serve drinks and shaved ice to cool off.

The mini golf course is fun and has cool designs throughout the course

8. No Name Pub – Big Pine Key
The No Name Pub Big Pine Key is a top spot to visit and among the oldest restaurants in the Florida Keys.
The walls are covered in dollar bills from visitors, and we even put our own dollar bills on the wall here.
It’s estimated that there are 65 to 75,000 dollars in one-dollar bills!

We also had their Bloody Mary’s, which are unique because they use wine instead of vodka, but they’re really good!
My sister called it the best Bloody Mary that she’s had.

There are also lots of Small Key Deer in the area, and both times we visited the pub, there were deer right outside the restaurant.

9. Sloppy Joe’s Bar – Key West
Sloppy Joe’s Bar in Key West is located on Duval Street, which is the area of lively nightlife in the Florida Keys.
As a famous spot in Key West, it’s known for its fun atmosphere, food, and live music.
Guests can try classic bar food with cool cocktails. The Sloppy Joe’s here are a must-try. We also tried the fish and Philly cheesesteak, and those were good.
The downsides are that it gets busy and loud, so it’s not great for little kids, and the food is a bit expensive.

Overall, Sloppy Joes is worth a visit if you’re in Key West.

The food and live music are both good, and the restaurant is just a short walk from Mallory Square.

10. Southernmost Beach Cafe & Bar – Key West
The last stop on our tour of restaurants in the Florida Keys is the Southernmost Beach Cafe & Bar in Key West.
It offers a perfect spot for dining with stunning views. This place was probably my favorite, not for the food and drinks, but for the outdoor atmosphere.
Stunning Waterfront Views
We had a few drinks here and spent most of our time at the beach, which is awesome and has amazing views.
While at the Beachfront Cafe, you’re just a block from the landmark buoy that marks you’re just 90 miles from Cuba.
Be sure to get your picture taken at this famous spot!

Conclusion
As you can see, the Florida Keys food scene is full of amazing dining spots.
You can find everything from laid-back places like Buzzard’s Roost in Key Largo to lively spots like Sloppy Joe’s Bar in Key West.
Most of the restaurants offer waterfront views, and you can also spot wildlife at several of them! I hope you enjoy these Florida Keys restaurants.
